2. Replace rotted cedar decking materials with IPE wood which requires no maintenance or harsh sealers.

Goal: New Construction - Build 3 Decks
Client Criteria: Time constraints, quality was critical, owner had very specific design ideas
Simply Sustainable's Approach:
1. The owner provided detailed deck plans, hand selected the materials, and had them on-site.
2. Simply Sustainable installed deck with a focus on critical corner cuts and quality of workmanship.

Deck - Over New Construction

Goal: New deck as part of an addition.
Clients Criteria: Easy maintenance, no leakage to living space below.
Simply Sustainable's Approach:
1. Simply Sustainable researched the appropriate degree of slope.
2. Gacko decking material was used which is easy to maintain and easily cleaned.

1. Use of 50 year Ipe wood which is rot, pest, and fire resistant & requires no harsh sealers.

Deck - Remodel

Goal: Create an inviting front entry.
Client Criteria: Quality, low maintenance, use of sustainable materials, coordinate with existing decks.
Simply Sustainable's Approach:
1. Paint existing portico beams in white to match house trim and lighten entry .
2. Cover portico with clear sheets to protect visitors from elements.
3. Wrap beams & posts in Ipe wood to match decking material.
4. Design and install new deck rails.
